Five Items You Need Navigate Your Job During a Pandemic
No matter what type of job you work, it's likely that the pandemic has affected you. Not only do you have to try to stay safe on the job, but also you have to continually make sure that you stay relevant enough to keep your job when massive layoffs occur. These are five items that you will need to bring with you to navigate your job during the pandemic.
An N-95 or Applicable Mask
The first item that you will need is an N-95 mask that will help to keep harmful particles from getting into your respiratory system. If you can't find such a mask, you can use a regular hospital-grade mask, or you can create your own. So long as you bring something to create somewhat of a barrier between you and the harmful elements.
A Personal Bottle of Hand Sanitizer
You will also need to purchase a personal bottle of hand sanitizer so that you can sanitize your hands in between customers, handshakes, product movements, and so forth. Gloves are a great idea, as well. Feel free to bring some gloves and wear them if you can locate a box.
Glasses or Goggles
This is a great time to start wearing your reading glasses if you don't usually do such. They can help to protect your eyes from particles. If you don't wear glasses, you'll need to invest in a pair of safety glasses or goggles. The expense will be worth it in the end.
Uplifting Material or Application
You will need something that you can read to lift your spirits and give you positive vibes. Daily affirmation apps, positive quote apps, and religious texts are a few suggestions. Take the time to read the text when you take your breaks and lunches to revitalize yourself mentally.
A Survivor Attitude
If you choose to work through these difficult times, you will have to keep a positive attitude to motivate yourself. Your positive attitude will not just motivate you. It will motivate your coworkers and your customers alike. You have to believe that you can make it through this crisis and that you'll end up at the bright end of the tunnel soon.
Those are just a few tips for navigating your job during a pandemic. Stay safe and keep your head up at all times.
